The song reached the top spot at 19 on the Canadian Hot 100 and Billboard Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it as one of the top songs of 2015. That same year, she dropped her debut album Know It All with the third song Scars to Your Beautiful being one of the five original songs which peaked on the Billboard charts. This includes Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100. The song was unique because many people related to the interview with rapper The Rap-Up crew about how she struggled in learning to love and accept her. Cara has earned a name for her messages about wellbeing, kindness, and self-love in her music. Everything stems from her personal experiences as she suffered from mental health problems and insomnia. According to a Reuters interview she describes her album as half-tumultuous as well as half-perfected. She found that therapy made her stronger and she encourages her fans to make the same. Alessia Cara is a Canadian musician who was born the 11th of July, 1996 to parents from Italian heritage. She was given a guitar from her parents at the age of reached the age of 10, and that sparked her love for music. As a teenager, she started covering songs she liked on YouTube to demonstrate to the public that she was talented and was able to make the decision to pursue the career of a musician. Actually, one of her cover songs Sweater Weather could be the song that got her noticed by EP Entertainment. They allowed her to record and compose the songs she composed.
